Major Engineering work is taking place at Stockport, and between Handforth, Bramhall and Stoke-on-Trent, closing all lines until end of service on Friday 22 August . This is to remove the old structure and install the new railway bridge. No rail services will run to/from or through Stockport station during this period.
Customers can use tickets and passes on rail replacement bus services calling at Hazel Grove, Woodsmoor, Davenport, Stockport, Heaton Chapel, Levenshulme and Manchester Piccadilly. There will be five buses per hour.

X92 - Hazel Grove - Heaviley - Stockport - Manchester City Centre
There will be ticket acceptance in place on Metrolink services between Altrincham and Navigation Road to Manchester city centre.
Later in the year, further works will take place on the following dates: 4-6 October and 25-27 December.
