Free travel on the tram for members of the Armed Forces

Current members, veterans and cadets can also travel on Bee Network buses on Armstice Day and Remembrance Sunday

Members of the Regular and Reserve Services can travel for free on Metrolink when carrying their MOD90 card:

  • after 9.30am Monday to Friday and all day on weekends and public holidays.
  • all day on Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday.

Remembrance Day - 10 & 11 November 2024

On Sunday 10 November and Monday 11 November, the Bee Network will be supporting Veterans and members of the regular and reserve services by offering free travel on both these days on Bee Network bus and tram services.

To be eligible for free travel, the following will be accepted over both days:

  • Veterans who carry their veterans badge or members of the Regular and Reserve Services carrying their MOD90 card can travel for free on Metrolink and Bee Network bus services.
  • Veteran Rail Cards will also be accepted, along with Defence Discount Service cards if they display the wording 'HM Armed Forces Veteran'.
  • Cadets travelling in uniform can travel for free on Metrolink and Bee Network bus services.
